Job summary

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) seeks a Model Governance Officer to execute model risk governance across the model life cycle, ensuring compliance with BSP regulations and internal policies while overseeing lifecycle management from a control perspective.

The role supports the Bank's growing reliance on advanced quantitative models, coordinating with the Risk Management Office to align with regulatory expectations and strategic risk objectives.

Qualifications

• 1 year of school/research or experience related to predictive behavioural modelling, programming and/or statistical studies, particularly on credit and market risk.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Information Technology.
• Preferably with graduate units in MS Finance/Computational Finance/Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.

Responsibilities

• Policy and framework management to align with enterprise risk management and risk policies.
• Maintain centralized model inventory and ensure registration details accuracy.
• Coordinate performance monitoring and track model issues and remediation.
• Engage with model owners, developers and validators for lifecycle management.
• Coordinate BSP queries, internal audit requests and external reviews.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and professional ethics.
• Provide strategic support and act in absence of the Section Head.
