About the role

The Mobile Purchasing Staff is responsible for sourcing, canvassing, purchasing, and monitoring mobile phones, tablets, mobile accessories, and related products. The position requires strong knowledge of current mobile device models, specifications, market prices, suppliers, and industry trends to ensure competitive pricing and availability.

Key responsibilities

• Source and canvass mobile phones, tablets, accessories, and related products from reliable suppliers
• Monitor current mobile phone models, specifications, features, prices, and market trends
• Coordinate with local distributors, suppliers, and authorized dealers
• Request and compare supplier quotations to obtain the best price and terms
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, payment terms, warranties, and delivery schedules
• Prepare purchase orders and other purchasing documents accurately
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment based on sales demand
• Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams regarding product availability and incoming stocks
• Verify product specifications, quantities, prices, and supplier documents before purchasing
• Monitor new product launches, price changes, promotions, and competitor pricing

About you

• Graduate of Business Administration, Marketing, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related course
• Preferably with experience in purchasing mobile phones, gadgets, electronics, or accessories
• Strong knowledge of mobile phones, including iPhone, Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, realme, HONOR, and other major brands
• Knowledgeable in mobile phone specifications, models, storage capacities, processors, cameras, and other technical features
• Familiarity with current gadget trends and market pricing
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and spreadsheet applications
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple purchasing transactions
• Willing to coordinate with suppliers and conduct product/supplier canvassing when required
