Job summary

Tyler Technologies is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join the Workforce Mobile team in our Manila, Philippines office. You will lead a team of software engineers developing our native mobile application and partner with Product Management, Architecture, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality software for public sector customers in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Experience leading native mobile apps for iOS and/or Android.
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and security/scalability best practices.
• Strong DevOps knowledge including CI/CD design and operation.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum or similar).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance priorities and drive delivery across multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers developing native mobile applications.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, and other engineering teams to align priorities with goals and outcomes.
• Coach and develop engineers through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and growth plans.
• Drive adoption of Agile and DevOps practices to improve velocity, quality, and reliability.
• Balance roadmap work with production issues and escalations while protecting team capacity.
• Define and track KPIs to measure team health and delivery effectiveness.
• Contribute to product evolution and cloud modernization initiatives.
• Champion process improvements, tooling enhancements, and internal education.
