Job summary

BruntWork is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support Australian mining and mineral processing projects from our client base. You will work under the Engineering Lead, perform calculations, equipment selection, and compile project documentation while coordinating design with Designers.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, at least five years of experience, and exposure to Australian Standards. Experience in gold, lithium or iron ore projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.
• 2+ years in Australian mining or minerals handling project experience.
• Experience applying Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Work under Engineering Lead with design team.
• Perform design calculations for hydraulic and materials handling.
• Select equipment and identify suppliers.
• Coordinate with suppliers for vendor data.
• Produce technical docs: calculation reports, datasheets, piping lists.
• Deliver and manage design deliverables.
• Coordinate layouts with Designers and review 3D/2D drawings.
• Apply Australian Standards to design work.
