Job summary

Socium - Teams Done Differently is seeking an experienced Senior Middleware Administrator to support enterprise-scale messaging, event streaming, API, and web infrastructure platforms in Manila. You will ensure high availability, security, and reliability of business-critical services across Kafka, IBM MQ, AMQ, APIC, and NGINX.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, NGINX, IBM Event Streams, and Red Hat AMQ Streams.
• Experience with Red Hat AMQ Broker/Interconnect and IBM API Connect.
• NGINX administration and configuration experience.
• Strong Linux/UNIX administration and scripting skills.
• Experience with automation, DevOps, and CI/CD tools.
• Exposure to Kubernetes/OpenShift and containerized middleware is a plus.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS, and networking.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Kafka, IBM MQ, Red Hat AMQ, APIC, and NGINX environments.
• Manage messaging, event streaming, APIs, reverse proxy/web traffic, security, HA/DR, monitoring, and performance.
• Support platform installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and production incidents.
• Configure and manage NGINX for reverse proxy, load balancing, SSL/TLS, routing, and traffic management.
• Automate operational activities using Bash/Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
