Sun Savings Bank is embarking on a bold digital transformation to modernize our financial services and deliver robust, secure digital and mobile banking experiences. We are seeking a Mid–Senior Fintech Software Engineer who thrives at the intersection of traditional banking infrastructure, modern cloud platforms, and cutting-edge artificial intelligence toolsets.
In this role, you will build next-generation digital banking solutions while optimizing, scaling, and maintaining our existing on-premise banking platforms. You will also leverage modern AI development tools and AI/LLM integration to accelerate software delivery, automate repetitive technical tasks, and drive innovative Fintech features into our digital ecosystem.
Digital Banking & AI Innovation:
Design, build, and maintain enterprise backend APIs, microservices, and modern web/mobile application architectures for financial and digital banking platforms.
Integrate AI models, LLM APIs (Copilot, OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek, Google AI Studio), and intelligent automation into software workflows, customer-facing banking apps, and internal productivity tools.
Utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI code assistants) to write clean code faster, generate unit tests, and optimize debugging processes.
On-Premise & Cloud System Engineering:
Support, refactor, and modernize current existing on-premise software applications, optimizing database queries, legacy integrations, and overall system performance.
Architect, deploy, and maintain both on-premise server environments and cloud-native solutions, seamlessly managing hybrid infrastructure setups.
Lead application migration pipelines transitioning enterprise workloads from on-premise infrastructure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Software Engineering & Tech Stack:
Develop maintainable, scalable, enterprise-grade code primarily utilizing Python alongside the Microsoft technology stack (.NET / C# / SQL Server / Azure services).
Build secure integrations with third-party payment gateways, core banking platforms, BSP-compliant API gateways, and fintech partner APIs.
DevOps & Continuous Deployment:
Implement and streamline CI/CD deployment pipelines across both on-premise servers and cloud environments for reliable, zero-downtime releases.
Apply containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), automated testing, and active performance monitoring across all application tiers.
Technical Project Management (Added Advantage):
Apply project management principles (Agile/Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall) to manage project timelines, sprint deliverables, resource allocation, and technical documentation.
Bridge business requirements and technical design, keeping cross-functional teams aligned on key deployment schedules.
Experience:
3 - 5years (Senior-Level) in enterprise application development, with strong experience in fintech, banking, or financial institution systems.
Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining software in on-premise corporate environments, coupled with cloud deployment experience.
AI Tooling & Modern Development:
Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI development tools and LLMs (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/Claude/DeepSeek, prompt engineering, or AI-driven code refactoring and test automation).
Familiarity with embedding AI capabilities into enterprise applications or workflow automation.
Technical Capabilities:
Strong proficiency in Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask) for API and backend development.
Solid expertise or working knowledge in Microsoft development frameworks (.NET Core, C#, SQL Server).
Hands-on experience with on-premise server administration/deployment as well as Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Practical understanding of DevOps practices: CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins), containerization, and monitoring tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background or formal certification in Project Management (PMP, CAPM, CSM, Agile/Scrum Master) is a significant advantage.
Experience working with legacy core banking system upgrades or transaction processing modules.
