APW Tech is seeking a Mid - Senior Java Developer with Angular experience to join our dynamic development team in Makati City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will design, develop and maintain robust backend systems whilst leveraging modern front-end technologies to deliver high-quality solutions for business objectives.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers and QA, mentor junior developers and stay current with emerging technologies to continuously improve development practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience developing Java applications in production environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Angular framework and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Proficiency in relational databases (SQL) and experience with database design.
• Solid knowledge of REST API development and integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based backend applications and services using current best practices and architectural patterns
• Develop and enhance Angular-based user interfaces, ensuring responsive design and optimal user experience
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers and quality assurance specialists to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain code quality standards
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimise applications to improve performance, scalability and reliability
• Write clean, maintainable code whilst adhering to established coding standards and conventions
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and technical approaches
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development practices

About the role

APW Tech is seeking a Mid - Senior Java Developer with Angular experience to join our dynamic development team. This is a full-time position based in Makati City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will take on a strategic position within our software development operations, contributing to the design, development and maintenance of robust backend systems whilst leveraging modern front-end technologies. You will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality solutions that drive the company's technological excellence and support our business objectives.

What we're looking for

• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in team environments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts clearly
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Preferred: Experience with Spring Boot or other Java frameworks
• Preferred: Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Preferred: Experience with microservices architecture
