Job summary

Umpisa Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a hands‑on QA Engineer to test web, mobile, API, and microservices applications and own QA within agile teams, acting as the main quality gatekeeper for deliverables.

You will contribute to automated test suites, integrate with the DevOps pipeline, and drive QA across SDLC/STLC, working with developers, stakeholders, and clients to ensure requirements are met and releases are ready.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3–6 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Software Testing, with hands-on exposure to both manual and automated testing.
Strong experience testing web, API, and/or mobile applications.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
Familiarity with designing or contributing to automation frameworks and improving automation coverage.
Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency in test planning, execution, defect tracking, and release readiness.
Experience working with test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing practices.
Working knowledge of API testing, including Postman, REST, and JSON.
Strong collaboration and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to coordinate testing efforts across teams.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Proven track record of driving process improvement and quality standards.
Trustworthy, self‑motivated, responsive and sharp.
Strong listening, verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
