Job summary

GECO Philippines, part of GECO Asia Group, seeks a Mid-Level Automation QA Engineer to design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and other tools. You will work in a hybrid setup in Alabang, Muntinlupa, and collaborate with Development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software deliveries.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in automation testing and 1 year in manual testing, with Selenium WebDriver in JS/TS, API testing familiarity, and database knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of professional Automation Testing and 1 year of Manual Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Training or exposure to Playwright is required; hands-on experience is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or C# and knowledge of API testing tools.
• Familiarity with Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB databases.
• Experience with QA frameworks such as BDD, DDT, or KDT; ISTQB is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and other tools.
• Improve and optimize existing automation frameworks for web, mobile, and desktop apps.
• Collaborate with Development and QA teams to increase test coverage and quality.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and defect documentation; track defects to resolution.
• Provide technical guidance to junior QA team members and ensure QA process compliance.
• Support continuous QA process improvement and adoption of best practices.
