Job summary

TE Connectivity in the Philippines is seeking an experienced MPDE/Engineering leader to guide the PH ICC MPDE team through molding, stamping, and assembly. You will partner with China MPDE to launch new products locally, coordinating with Quality, PME, PJE, PDE, AQE, and Procurement to meet on‑time launches and cost targets.

The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing with strong leadership, and fluency in English; knowledge of CAD/DOE tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or MPDE domain.
• Experience leading a team of 5+ engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PH ICC MPDE team (molding, stamping & assembly) and expand capability.
• Collaborate with CHINA MPDE to launch new products in the PH.
• Coordinate with local operations and global project teams to ensure successful launches.
• Grow the PH MPDE team size and capabilities with China support.
• Develop PH local suppliers for molding, stamping, assembly and automation.
• Track KPIs: Launch on time, COPQ, STR, cost, and reliability.

Job Overview

Lead and expand the PH ICC MPDE team (molding, stamping, and assembly), partnering closely with China MPDE to launch new products in the Philippines. Coordinate cross‑functionally with local operations, global project teams, and suppliers to ensure successful product launches, supplier development, and achievement of key performance targets such as ontime launch, quality, cost, and reliability.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the PH ICC MPDE team, including molding, stamping & Assy MPDE engineers.
• Working with the CHINA MPDE team to launch a new product in PH
• Coordinate with the PH local operation team (Quality, PME, PJE) & Global project team(PDE, AQE, Procurement) to launch a new product in PH
• Grow the PH MPDE team size & engineering capability with support from the China MPDE team.
• PH Local supplier (molding, stamping, assembly, & Automation supplier) development
• KPI (Launch on time, COPQ, STR, cost…)

Job Qualifications

• Very good Logic.
• 5+ yrs manager role and experience in managing a team of more than 5 people
• 10+ yrs. manufacturing experience (molding, stamping, plating, assembly, or automation)
• Bachelor's or above degree in mechanical engineering or related background.
• Fluent in using basic process development related tools like DFM, PFMEA, DOE, FAA, CTAR, CAD, Pro E
• Good at talent development, strategy making, and project execution
• Data-oriented issue finding and problem-solving skills. Sensitive to product cost, know how to drive cost through manufacturing process development & design optimization.
• Knowledge of quality control, quality issue analysis, and improvement Good teamwork and communication skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English. If you can speak Chinese, it would be better.
• Strong sense of teamwork and leadership capability

What Your Background Should Look Like

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 8 years of experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
