Job summary

TE Connectivity in the Philippines (Tanauan) is seeking a Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer II to drive end-to-end manufacturing process development for connectors, collaborating with product design teams in China and the US and local MPDE/ME/operations teams on new product launches.

You will lead design and proofing for assembly processes and tooling, act as technical lead for process development from low to high volume, coordinate with automation for Auto MC, and ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or above degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in precision assembly process development or automation development.
• Knowledge of metals, plastics, machining, die casting.
• Data-oriented issue-finding and problem-solving.
• Good shopfloor hands-on experience.
• Capable of driving cost through manufacturing process development and design optimization.
• Familiar with DFM, PFMEA, DOE, FAA, CTAR tools.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Core, or Pro/E.
• Quality control mindset and problem analysis.
• Strong teamwork and English communication; Chinese a plus; overseas experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end manufacturing process development for connectors.
• Concept design and proofing for assembly process and tooling.
• Technical lead from LVM to HVM in process development and tooling.
• Platforming manufacturing process development.
• Provide process definitions to automation team for Auto MC development.
• Challenge product design for manufacturability and cost.
• Launch product at rate using FACA/QCPA tools.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to launch on time.
• Document processes (DFM, tooling specs, FMEAs, WI, FACA/QCPC).
