Job summary

SAFESTEP PHILIPPINES OPC is seeking a Merchandising Manager to lead the Buying and Merchandising functions across retail and e‑commerce. This role oversees the Merchandising team, organizes buying across brands, and partners with Retail to ensure launches and promotions are executed seamlessly.

Using data from Sales and IT, you will produce in‑season reports, forecasts, and buying plans, while monitoring performance and guiding stock allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field required.
• 2+ years’ experience in merchandising or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and social skills.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Retail merchandising knowledge is an advantage.
• Computer literate with MS Excel.

1. 1. Manage the Merchandising team and be responsible for the entire Buying and Merchandising function for retail and e-commerce.


2. 2. Provide analysis and trade reports as needed.


3. 3. Organize and manage the Buying across all brands and channels.


4. 4. Using data provided by Sales and IT, produce in-season reports, forecasting and formulate buying plans.


5. 5. Measure and monitor the performance of the merchandise on a daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly basis.


6. 6. Be in-charge of the suggested allocation & distribution of stocks.


7. 7. Partner with the Retail teams to create and implement clear procedures and guidelines and to ensure launches, sales, etc. are acted upon seamlessly.


8. 8. Operates as a strategic business manager, overseeing the Merchandising team's effectiveness and their processes, teaching best practice.


9. 9. More thorough performance monitoring and reporting in times of crises or issues.


10. 10. Performs other related duties that may be assigned by immediate superior.

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in any field


• At least 2 year(s) of working experience specializing in Merchandising or equivalent


• Excellent personality, communication & social skills


• Highly sociable, with pleasing personality


• Highly analytical with good negotiation skills.


• A working knowledge in retail merchandising is an advantage


• Computer literate, proficient with MS Exce
