Overview
The Merchandising Specialist plays a key role in ensuring that products are strategically and effectively displayed, stocked, and promoted to drive sales and enhance customer experience. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and retail partners to execute merchandising plans, analyze sales data, and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Execute visual and in-store merchandising strategies in alignment with brand guidelines.
- Ensure product displays are well-stocked, clean, and organized across all assigned locations.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, sell-through rates, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
- Assist in planning and launching seasonal product assortments and promotional campaigns.
- Track and report on product performance, pricing, and customer feedback.
- Coordinate with suppliers, store managers, and logistics teams to ensure timely product availability.
- Implement planograms and signage in line with marketing and merchandising direction.
- Conduct regular market and competitor research to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of store visits, display updates, and sales observations.
- Support training efforts for in-store staff on merchandising standards and product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in merchandising, retail, or sales support roles (1–3 years preferred).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, retail systems, and merchandising tools (e.g., planogram software).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple store locations.
- Willingness to travel for work.
