Job summary

CMG Retail Inc. is seeking a Merchandising Assistant in Metro Manila to support the Merchandising team with detailed execution of stock data, inventory, and buying activities.

Strong Excel skills, numerical accuracy, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment are required. Responsibilities include filing stock data, preparing stock cards, creating purchase orders, monitoring stock levels and movements, and coordinating with marketing on consumer behavior.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Stock data filing and product handling as per merchandising tasks.
• Prepare stock cards with vendor, stock number, cost, and arrival date.
• Prepare purchase orders and monitor stock levels, movements and replenishment.
• Create and monitor transfer orders for stock movement.

Job description

The Merchandising Assistant is responsible for the detailed execution of any merchandising related tasks in order to support the efforts of the Merchandising team. Responsible to perform each task dutifully so as to help keep the merchandising process fluid, efficient, and effective.

Stock Data Filing and Product Handling

• Facilitates sample viewing through monitoring container arrivals to warehouse, requesting product samples, displays and arranges product samples, and monitors product shoot,
• Prepares complete and correct stock cards, having complete information such as vendor, stock number , cost, and arrival date

Inventory Management

• Prepares the purchase orders of approved items for filing in the system
• Closely monitors stock level on assigned channel and stock movement such as repeat orders, consolidation and replenishment, mark downs, movement of stocks, based on assigned area/channel
• Prepares the transfer orders for any approved stock movement

Buying

• Ensures the timely and correct creation of Purchase Orders
• Remains observant and adaptable to the changing needs of the consumer through close monitoring with marketing on consumer behavior
• Prepares the buying process template for proposal to management

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a College graduate preferably business courses
