About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join the team at Daily Supermarket, Inc. in Cubao, Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining our store's visual appeal and product availability. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are displayed attractively, properly stocked, and readily accessible to our customers. Your work will directly impact the customer shopping experience and contribute to driving sales and customer satisfaction across our retail locations.

What you'll be doing

• Arranging and displaying products on shelves and promotional areas in an organised and visually appealing manner
• Ensuring adequate stock levels by monitoring inventory and replenishing shelves throughout the day
• Creating and maintaining attractive window displays and in-store promotional displays according to company guidelines and seasonal themes
• Checking product quality and removing damaged or expired items from shelves
• Rotating stock using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to maintain product freshness
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of assigned merchandise areas
• Collaborating with the sales team to ensure promotional materials are correctly displayed
• Monitoring product placement to ensure compliance with planogram standards
• Assisting with inventory counts and conducting stock audits as required
• Providing outstanding customer service by answering product-related questions and assisting customers with locating items
• Reporting any merchandising issues or discrepancies to management
• Participating in training sessions to stay updated on new products and merchandising techniques

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Merchandiser or in a similar retail role within a supermarket or retail environment
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of product presentation
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Physical capability to lift, carry and position products weighing up to 20 kg regularly
• Ability to work standing for extended periods and navigate store environments safely
• Knowledge of retail merchandising principles and best practices
• Familiarity with planogram standards and visual merchandising guidelines
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and management
• Customer service orientation with a professional and friendly demeanour
• Basic numeracy skills for inventory management and stock checking
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Certification in retail or merchandising (preferred but not essential)
