Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Medical Representative in the Philippines to call on specialist physicians and retail pharmacies, promoting approved medicines and building long-term relationships. You will report to the Area Manager and develop local sales strategies to meet targets.

Required Bachelor’s degree and prior pharmaceutical sales experience, with strong communication and networking skills. Willingness to work across the Philippines and comply with industry regulations.

What you'll do

We are currently looking for Medical Representatives to join our esteemed organization team to continue and build on the team’s success.

As Medical representative, you will have principal function of calling upon specialist physicians and retail pharmacies. Technical expert of specific company products, therapeutic classes or patient needs. Typically establishes long-term relationships with key customers. This role reports to the Area Manager/First Line Sales Manager.

Typical Accountabilities

• Successfully complete all training requirements, including product examinations.
• Engage healthcare professionals in dialogue about approved indications and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients.
• Work with Sales Manager to develop a local strategy and business plan to meet or exceed sales and call execution goals in territory
• Drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and assigned budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations.
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed markets information relative to assigned sales territory.
• Comply with all regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, distribution of samples, etc.

Essentials for the role

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience within the pharmaceutical industry as a sales representative
• Proven successes in building strong external and internal relationships.
• Effective communication, influencing and collaborative networking skills.
• Drive to be a self-starter, with confidence in your personal presentation, sales skills and the ability to make a positive impact.

Desirables for the role

• Territory knowledge would be advantageous but must be amenable to be assigned anywhere in the Philippines.
• Good English language capabilities.
