Job summary

The National Neuroscience Institute in Singapore is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist/Scientist to join the Neuroscience Clinical Laboratory at the TTSH Campus. Qualifications

• Degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialised laboratory testing for clinical diagnosis, including ELISA, immunofluorescence, immunoblot, histology, histochemistry and immunohistochemistry.
• Participate in specimen processing, quality control, equipment and reagent management, documentation and laboratory quality activities.
• Handle operational duties required for delivery of laboratory services.
• Fresh graduates with relevant training may be considered.

Job description:

A Medical Laboratory Technologist / Scientist position is available in the Neuroscience Clinical Laboratory (TTSH Campus) at the National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore.

The Neuroscience Clinical Laboratory provides specialised laboratory services supporting the diagnosis of neurological, neuromuscular and neuroimmunological disorders. Our services include muscle and nerve biopsy histopathology and a range of immunological tests for autoantibodies associated with neurological diseases.

As part of the team, you will perform routine and specialised laboratory testing for clinical diagnosis, including ELISA, immunofluorescence, immunoblot, histology, histochemistry and immunohistochemistry. You will also participate in specimen processing, quality control, equipment and reagent management, documentation, laboratory quality activities and other operational duties required for the delivery of laboratory services.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or equivalent.


• Prior experience in a clinical/diagnostic laboratory, particularly in immunology, immunoassays or ELISA, will be an advantage.


• Experience with immunofluorescence and/or immunoblot techniques will be an added advantage.


• Able to work independently after appropriate training and demonstrate good attention to detail and accuracy.


• Good communication and teamwork skills.


• Fresh graduates with relevant laboratory training may also be considered.
