Job summary

Recruitify_HR is seeking a skilled Home Health Coder to join our team for a temporary, work-from-home assignment with potential full-time equivalents. The role focuses on accurate coding of home health records, specifically OASIS documents, in line with industry standards.

Ideal candidates will have a clinical background and at least 1 year of home health coding experience, with CPC or equivalent certification; BCHH-C is a plus and certification exam during training may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Medical allied graduate, preferably with a clinical background (RN/BSN, PT, OT, etc.).
• 1 year of Home Health coding experience (Level 2 – Primary Oasis and Level 3 – Extended Oasis with POC).
• Certification: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or any recognized coding certification; BCHH-C preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and code home health records for accuracy and completeness, including Level 2 – Primary Oasis and Level 3 – Extended Oasis with POC.
• Ensure compliance with home health coding regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely processing.
• Perform coding assessments and contribute to ongoing improvements in the coding process.
• Continuously update knowledge on industry changes related to home health coding and Oasis documentation.

• Continuously update knowledge on industry changes related to home health coding and OASIS documentation.

Qualifications

Certifications

• Required: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or any recognized coding certification.
• Preferred: BCHH-C Certification (Board Certified Home Health Coder) – Candidates with this certification will have an advantage.
• If the candidate does not have the BCHH-C certification, they should be willing to take the certification exam during training and pass the exam to continue working on the account.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Home Health coding experience (Level 2 – Primary Oasis and Level 3 – Extended Oasis with POC).

Compensation

Previous experience with OASIS documentation and coding is required.
