Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join our onsite night shift team in Parañaque. The role involves handling inbound/outbound calls with patients and insurers, updating billing records, and ensuring accurate claim processing in a healthcare-focused environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of BPO experience in healthcare and strong communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive patient information effectively.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of BPO experience in a healthcare account.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare billing, medical billing, or claims processing.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable handling calls with patients, insurance representatives, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
• Strong attention to detail with billing and patient information.

Responsibilities

• Make inbound and outbound calls to patients, insurance reps, doctors, and onsite staff.
• Update the billing system with pertinent patient information.
• Adjust claim/patient details and rebill corrected claims for denials.
• Post payments through the company’s online portal (electronic and mailed).
• Complete ad hoc tasks as directed by supervisor/manager.

Your Role

As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will:

• Perform inbound and outbound calls to/from patients, insurance representatives, onsite counterparts, doctors, and law offices when applicable.
• Update the billing system with pertinent patient information coming from patients and other authorized entities.
• Adjust claim/patient information details and rebill corrected claims for denials when applicable.
• Post payments made by patients or by their representatives through the company's online payment portal partner (electronic and/or mailed payments).
• Comply with and execute ad hoc tasks assigned by the direct supervisor/manager and/or onshore billing manager.

Non-negotiables

What You Need:

• At least 1 year of BPO experience in a healthcare account
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare billing, medical billing, claims processing, or a related healthcare revenue cycle function
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable handling calls and communicating with patients, insurance representatives, doctors, and other healthcare professionals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with billing and patient information

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Knowledge of medical coding and US healthcare billing
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS is highly preferred
• Experience handling US healthcare accounts, insurance, claims, or patient billing is an advantage
