Job summary

MicroSourcing International in Clark, Pampanga is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to handle inbound/outbound patient and insurance communications, update billing systems, and rebill denied claims as needed. This onsite night-shift role offers hands-on billing experience within a dynamic BPO setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in healthcare BPO billing, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of BPO experience in a healthcare account.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare billing, medical billing, claims processing, or related revenue cycle work.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable handling calls with patients, insurance representatives, doctors and other healthcare professionals.
• Strong attention to detail with billing and patient information.

Responsibilities

• Perform inbound and outbound calls to/from patients, insurance representatives, onsite counterparts, doctors and law offices when applicable.
• Update the billing system with pertinent patient information from patients and other authorized entities.
• Adjust claim/patient information details and rebill corrected claims for denials when applicable.
• Post payments made by patients or their representatives via the company’s online payment portal partner.
• Comply with ad hoc tasks assigned by the direct supervisor/manager and/or onshore billing manager.

Your Role

• Perform inbound and outbound calls to/from patients, insurance representatives, onsite counterparts, doctors, and law offices when applicable.
• Update the billing system with pertinent patient information coming from patients and other authorized entities.
• Adjust claim/patient information details and rebill corrected claims for denials when applicable.
• Post payments made by patients or by their representatives through the company's online payment portal partner (electronic and/or mailed payments).
• Comply with and execute ad hoc tasks assigned by the direct supervisor/manager and/or onshore billing manager.

Non-negotiables

What You Need:

• At least 1 year of BPO experience in a healthcare account
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare billing, medical billing, claims processing, or a related healthcare revenue cycle function
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable handling calls and communicating with patients, insurance representatives, doctors, and other healthcare professionals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with billing and patient information

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Knowledge of medical coding and US healthcare billing
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS is highly preferred
• Experience handling US healthcare accounts, insurance, claims, or patient billing is an advantage
