Job summary

PHILMETAL PRODUCTS, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechatronics specialist to ensure production lines operate safely and efficiently.

You will install, service, and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems across roll forming, shearing, and slitting equipment. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting of PLCs, sensors, drives, and motors, and collaboration with QA/QC and Production teams to implement improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in roofing materials, metal fabrication, or construction-related products.
• Experience in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and control diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment including roll forming, cutting, slitting, and press machines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system faults to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, drives, and motors used in roll forming machines.
• Assist in the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new production and automation equipment.
• Set up and align machine components to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and control diagrams.
• Support PLC and HMI programming, testing, and adjustments.
• Monitor and optimize control logic to improve equipment efficiency, speed, and accuracy.
• Collaborate with QA/QC and Production teams to implement process improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Ensure all equipment meets company quality standards and production specifications.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintain a safe working environment in compliance with safety standards.
• Inspect and calibrate sensors, limit switches, and measuring devices to ensure consistent product quality.
