Job summary

Insular Oil Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems at our facility. The candidate should have a 2+ year background in related roles, read electrical tools/testers, and work with minimal supervision.

This is a direct-hire, full-time role with meals provided and HMO upon regularization. The position requires coordinating with operations during vessel/barge activities and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent required.
• Hands-on electrical maintenance experience is essential.
• At least 2 years of related work experience is required.
• Ability to read and use electrical tools and testers.
• Work with minimal supervision and start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Executes mechanical related work orders or repairs.
• Monitor and inspect mechanical equipment condition.
• Check generator set for mechanical problems and maintenance.
• Fabricate in-house projects (welding).
• Lubricate pumps, valves and other equipment.
• Inspect pumps and other machinery in the facility.
• Assist operations during vessel/barge receiving and unloading.
• Check fire pump set and auxiliaries.
• Report defects to supervisor for corrective actions.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
• Comply with safety programs and hazard reporting.
• Ensure emergency equipment is ready and maintained.
