Job summary

Advanced Energy in Metro Manila is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to design and develop mechanical systems for our Medical Design Group, balancing performance, reliability, and cost.

You will work with enclosures, heatsinks, cable assemblies, and molded parts, using thermal, acoustic, and vibration simulations, plus 3D layouts and prototype testing to turn concepts into robust products meeting customer needs and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years of product development experience with electromechanical systems, medical devices, or electronics.
• Advanced CAD skills with SolidWorks or Creo, plus FEA knowledge.
• Knowledge of sheet metal design is desirable.
• Experience with thermal and structural FEA to support design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Owns mechanical design activities from concept through production release, including analysis, testing, documentation, and design verification of enclosures, bus bars, heat sinks, and cooling mechanisms.
• Creates GD&T-compliant drawings and performs tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Specifies experiments and procedures to prove, test, and monitor design concepts.
• Designs for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly (DFA) to minimize complexity and improve manufacturability.
• Designs parts and subassemblies for common manufacturing methods (sheet metal, machined parts, casting, molding, extrusion, stamping, 3D printing).
