Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Conveyor Designer to join our engineering team. The Conveyor Designer will be responsible for creating mechanical designs and layout drawings for conveyor systems used in material handling, manufacturing, logistics, and other industrial environments. This role requires strong CAD skills, knowledge of mechanical systems, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized, efficient, and reliable conveyor solutions.

• Design and develop conveyor systems based on project requirements, specifications, and customer needs.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings.
• Select appropriate components (motors, belts, rollers, sensors, etc.) based on design requirements and industry standards.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and meet performance standards.
• Modify and improve existing designs to optimize efficiency, safety, and manufacturability.
• Conduct load calculations, tolerance analyses, and basic structural assessments as needed.
• Maintain documentation for all designs and revisions using PDM/PLM systems.
• Support the installation and commissioning of conveyor systems, occasionally requiring site visits.
