Job summary

Taisei Philippine Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the construction industry.

The role focuses on project estimation, overseeing installation and maintenance of mechanical systems, and ensuring projects meet safety, budget, and schedule requirements. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in mechanical engineering, cost control, and site management, with knowledge of PH codes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Licensed Mechanical Engineer (PRC).
10–12 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
Experience with project estimation, cost analysis, and maintenance is required.
Experience with Japanese construction companies is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates, material take-offs, and BOQ for mechanical works.
Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop accurate estimates.
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and cost-saving solutions.
Assist in preparing project budgets, cost analysis, and bid proposals.
Monitor project costs and recommend value engineering opportunities.
Plan, supervise, and monitor installation of HVAC, plumbing, and other systems.
Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
