Job summary

A leading logistics company in Metro Manila is seeking a Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on trucks. Responsibilities include conducting daily inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping accurate records. The ideal candidate should have a background in Automotive courses and experience with Wing-Van Truck units. This is a full-time position offered at a mid-senior level.

• Performs every removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub‑assemblies, components, parts, or systems of the trucks
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on trucks and equipment including but not limited to: lubrication and oil changes, brake, wheel, tire and battery services, belt, hose, headlight, and basic component replacement
• Performs basic to intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical/electrical problems
• Assesses trucks condition by conducting daily inspections to accurately diagnose and to work on repair issues
• Keeps equipment available at all times for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades
• Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems during preventive maintenance schedule
• Maintains equipment and truck records by recording services and repairs
• Leads in the actual rescue of trucks due to delays encountered
• Ensures that all reports should be with the knowledge and approval of the department/business unit head and/or designate
• Helps and coordinates with Mechanic in the daily inspection and checking of trucks
• Report any findings from the fleet checking that needs immediate inspection
• Summarizes result of daily inspection checklist
• Fully adheres to the companys code of discipline Performs other tasks that the Head Mechanic and/or Trucking Head may assign from time to time
