Job summary

MCPP Philippines: Motor Transport Mechanic role under KBR, Inc. involves performing maintenance, repair, and servicing of motor transportation equipment for the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program – Philippines.

The position requires security clearance, and travel to Philippines with a one-year commitment, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. Basic qualifications include 4 years of related experience, automotive maintenance training or equivalent education, a valid U.S.

Qualifications

• Must pass a U.S. Government/FBI background check and obtain a Secret clearance.
• Completion of Automotive Maintenance Technician course or related training.
• In lieu of formal training, a combination of college credits, professional certification, or other education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
• Must have 4 years of directly related work experience.
• Ability to review technical specifications and requirements.
• Must be able to analyze maintenance, repair, or operation to determine methods of improvement.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• U.S. Stateside Driver’s License.
• U.S. Passport.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Philippines Work Visa.

MCPP Philippines: Motor Transport Mechanic

Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR! The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces. Perform the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of motor transportation equipment and systems, in support of the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program – Philippines (MCPP-PHIL). This is a CBA-Exempt, overseas assignment with a one-year commitment. The MCPP-PHIL Motor Transportation Mechanic will report directly to the MCPP-PHIL Motor Transportation Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance actions that follows the contract Statement of Work and adheres to Marine Corps policy and procedures.
• Perform maintenance actions involving repairing, adjusting, servicing, and storing motor transportation equipment and systems.
• Support equipment readiness, maintenance shop organization, control of maintenance assets and provide advice on all matters relating to motor transportation systems maintenance. Review invoices and requisitions to plan work activities.
• Maintain proficiency in all maintenance functions.
• Inventory repair parts and equipment and requisition replacement stock.
• Provide requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Comply with personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Comply with established safety regulations, and method and procedures for handling and storing various equipment and materials.
• Comply with MCPP-PHIL ISO policies and procedures, work specifications, and time schedules.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a U.S. Government/FBI background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.
• Completion of related formal training such as the Automotive Maintenance Technician course or similar.
• In lieu of Automotive Maintenance Technician course, a combination of college credits, professional certification, or other education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
• Must have 4 years of directly related work experience.
• Requires the ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
• The ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare part equipment is required.
• Must have the ability to analyze maintenance repair or operation to determine methods of improvement.
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• U.S. Stateside Driver’s License

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Philippines Work Visa.
