Job summary

DKSH seeks a Materials Qualification Specialist in the Philippines to ensure raw materials meet regulatory and quality standards. You will review alternative materials, coordinate analyses, and manage documentation from qualification through commercialization.

The role requires a BS in a science field, 1+ year of product application/sensory experience, and training in Halal/ISO schemes. Strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Food Technology, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or any science-related courses.
• At least one year experience in product application and/or sensory evaluation.
• Attended training on Halal, FSMS ISO22000 or FSSC, ISO 9001, IQA, HACCP, GLP, and GMP.
• Ability to work with changing priorities.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently with sound judgment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Raw Material Specification Sheets (RMSS) with accuracy.
• Coordinate with QA/Procurement on updated technical documents and regulatory requirements.
• Review and assess acceptability of alternative material documents with Procurement.
• Coordinate with QA for analyses (physico-chemical, micro, etc.) and sample testing.
• Conduct sensory evaluation and product application for alternative materials.
• Send samples to third-party labs and perform risk assessments.
• Prepare raw material specifications for alternatives and monitor production trials.
• Prepare reports from qualification to commercialization of alternative materials.
• Process GAPIM POs for supplies and third-party testing.
• Ensure compliance with manuals, procedures and test methods related to Material Qualification.
