Job summary

SMEC, part of Surbana Jurong Group, invites a Civil/Materials Engineer with PE license to join its dam and hydropower projects. The role focuses on lab and field testing, QA/QC planning, and coordination with suppliers and vendors on construction materials for hydraulic structures.

The successful candidate will bring 5–8 years of relevant experience and a track record delivering compliant materials testing programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (or equivalent PE license).
• 5–8 years of dam/hydropower project experience.
• Experience with lab/field testing for concrete, aggregates, soils.
• Hands-on construction phase experience on dam/hydro projects.
• Involvement in QA/QC planning and implementation.
• Ability to ensure material standards meet codes.
• Experience in material analysis and technical reporting.
• Project management exposure and supplier/vendor coordination.
• Knowledge of construction materials in hydraulic structures and relevant codes.
