Role Description: We are looking for a Marine Structural Designer to join our growing engineering team supporting marine transportation, heavy lifting, offshore, and vessel engineering projects. This role is ideal for an early-career designer who is passionate about marine structures and enjoys developing accurate 3D structural models and technical drawings for challenging engineering projects.
Working alongside experienced naval architects and marine engineers, you will contribute to the development of structural models and fabrication drawings for vessels, transport grillages, lifting structures, and other marine equipment used in offshore and marine operations.
Develop 3D structural models of vessels, barges, and marine structures.
Prepare structural, fabrication, and construction drawings.
Model hull structures, decks, bulkheads, hatch covers, pontoons, foundations, and support structures.
Assist with structural models for sea fastening, lifting frames, and transport grillages.
Coordinate with naval architects and engineers to ensure accurate models and drawings.
Revise drawings and models based on engineering and project requirements.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2 years of relevant experience in 3D CAD software
Experience in shipbuilding or structural design
Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Experience with AVEVA Marine/Tribon, ShipConstructor, Cadmatic, Rhino, SolidWorks, or similar software is an advantage.
