The role
The Manufacturing Manager will oversee manufacturing planning, resource allocation, capacity utilization, and production manpower planning while responding proactively to operational challenges. They will b responsible for driving manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, cost efficiency, and customer delivery.
Your Responsibilities
Manufacturing Planning & Operations
- Develop and execute specific manufacturing plans aligned with department goals and objectives.
- Make timely operational decisions to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day manufacturing activities.
- Ensure production plans are achieved at the lowest possible cost while meeting customer delivery and quality requirements.
- Monitor manufacturing performance and proactively address operational issues that may impact production targets.
Capacity & Resource Management
- Develop resource allocation and planning models to optimize manufacturing operations.
- Ensure efficient capacity planning, space utilization, and machine efficiency.
- Monitor manufacturing scorecards, key performance indicators, and operational trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure effective production and headcount planning based on business and manufacturing requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Drive initiatives that improve productivity, efficiency, cost, quality, and overall manufacturing performance.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time (JIT), and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and eliminate operational waste.
- Utilize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Theory of Constraints (TOC) principles to identify bottlenecks and improve equipment and production performance.
Leadership & Problem Solving
- Respond effectively to changes, issues, and problems that may affect current or future manufacturing operations.
- Lead and collaborate with production, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges.
- Provide direction and leadership to manufacturing personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering discipline, preferably Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of solid manufacturing experience, preferably in a senior production, engineering, or managerial capacity.
Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in the semiconductor/manufacturing industry is required.
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time (JIT), and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Working knowledge of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Theory of Constraints (TOC).
- Computer literate with the ability to work with manufacturing data, reports, and performance metrics.
