Job summary

Unilever Philippines is seeking an experienced Industrial Relations and Employee Relations HR Business Partner to support its manufacturing operations across the Philippines. The role focuses on managing union relations, CBA negotiations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws while fostering a positive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will drive national employee engagement initiatives, policy modernization, and organizational design efforts to balance business needs with workforce

Qualifications

• Experience in Employee Relations and Industrial Relations in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
• Strong knowledge of local labor laws, compliance, and risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication with unions, government agencies, and leadership.
• Capability to drive policy modernization and national employee engagement.
• Experience in Organization Development (OD) and Organization Design.
• Learning and capability development experience to build leadership skills.
• Experience with performance and rewards in a large organization.
• Project and change management expertise in HR transformations.

Responsibilities

• Strategic HR partnering to guide labor and employee relations strategies.
• Lead CBA negotiations; manage disputes and engage with union representatives.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies; mitigate ER risks.
• Address grievances and disciplinary actions in line with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with factory leadership, legal teams, and external partners like DoLE and unions.
• Design and implement national employee engagement initiatives across sites.
• Revamp HR policies to align with business needs and evolving workforce expectations.
• Support workforce transformation, organization design, and restructuring initiatives.
• Identify capability gaps and implement learning and development programs.
• Align performance management and rewards with business goals.
• Drive HR projects and change management for workforce transitions.
• Provide training to managers on labor laws and dispute resolution.
