Job summary

WD is seeking an Engineering Intern for a structured 3-6 month program at the Philippines site (PHO). You will be embedded in the Engineering organization, gain hands-on exposure to precision manufacturing operations like slider processing and HGA assembly, and deliver a final project presentation.

Interns will have a dedicated buddy/mentor, structured learning sessions, and assessments with a potential conversion to full-time under the BEST Program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3rd-year standing; rising seniors are preferred.
• Available for a 3–6-month full-time or part-time internship.
• The internship is intended for students whose academic program requires or allows an internship for academic credit.

Responsibilities

• Supporting day-to-day engineering activities in assigned function area.
• Assisting in data collection, process monitoring, and documentation.
• Contributing to a defined internship project with measurable output.
• Attending structured learning sessions and technical orientations.
• Completing mid-point and end-of-internship assessments.
• Presenting internship project findings to team and mentor at program close.
