TE Connectivity Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a DnD – Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer for Plating Process to drive productivity and quality improvements on plating operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Industrial or Chemical Engineering with 1–3 years in semiconductor/plating, PFMEA knowledge, and strong communication skills to support process development and training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering.
  • 1–3 years of experience in semiconductor or electronics plating processes.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA and plating process control.
  • Experience in reel-to-reel plating is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledgeable in drawing interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify and trial new and existing plating tools and processes.
  • Improve efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Contribute to product development and DFMEA/PFMEA for plating.
  • Collaborate with Global COE Assembly to drive continuous improvements in plating technology and processes.
  • Maintain documentation for plating tooling, spares, and process setup sheets.
  • Provide training to new joiners and technical trainees.
  • Coordinate with inter-department and assist with investigations of rejected products and corrective actions.
  • Drive TEOA culture on the shop floor and support automation opportunities.
  • Review TEOA deployment on the shop floor.

Job Overview

DnD – Manufacturing & Process development engineer for Plating Process, focus on productivity, reducing time, building systems, maintain ISO documents and standards, etc. Should get involved in NPI’s, coordinate with team and implement TEOA. Should be a go getter & a team player. Must have comprehensive knowledge in Plating industry. Participate in plating chemical and process improvement, solve plating production problems, release production work instruction, support production team for plating efficiency improvement, and provide plating training to all operators

Job Requirements
  • Responsible for Plating Process (new and old tools) qualification and trial
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
  • Participates and engages in product development, DFMEA / PFMEA
  • Works with Global COE Assembly to drive continuous improvement in Plating Technology / Process
  • Maintains proper documentation for all plating tooling, spares, and plating process setup sheets
  • Imparts training and development for new joiners, technical trainees, etc.
  • Coordinates with inter-department and assists with investigations of rejected products and the development of corrective actions
  • Drives TEOA culture on the shop floor
  • Coordinates with Manufacturing Engineer for new product development and process improvement
  • Assesses resource requirements and opportunities for automation and process productivity improvement
  • Reviews TEOA deployment
What your background should look like
  • Graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering
  • With at least 1–3 years of experience in semiconductor or electronics plating processes
  • Knowledgeable in PFMEA and Control Plan – Plating Process Control
  • Experience in reel-to-reel plating is an advantage
  • Involvement or experience in cost-down activities and process improvement projects is a plus
  • Knowledgeable in drawing interpretation
  • Good communication and presentation skills
