Job summary

Coherent Corp. in the Philippines is seeking an Electronics Engineer to lead manufacturing efficiency initiatives and support NPI from concept to production. You will balance production lines, analyze capacity, and develop labor standards to improve overall productivity.

The role requires CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) and strong leadership to manage cross-functional teams in a 100% onsite environment.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. Electronics Engineering is required; physics, electrical or related fields may apply.
• At least 3 years of experience in semiconductor or electronics/optoelectronics and fiber optics.
• Leadership capabilities to manage a virtual team and solve problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with other Coherent Corp. teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies, motion studies, and work measurement to drive efficiency.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through production.
• Balance production lines to maximize productivity and reduce bottlenecks.
• Analyze manufacturing capacity and identify bottlenecks; optimize labor utilization and efficiency.
• Develop labor standards and production capacity planning.
• Develop mechanical designs using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).
• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED).
• Support inventory reduction and continuous flow manufacturing.

• Conduct time studies, motion studies, and work measurement .

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through production.

Balance production lines to maximize productivity.

Analyze manufacturing capacity and identify bottlenecks.

Improve labor utilization and manufacturing efficiency.

Optimize factory layout, workstation ergonomics, and material flow.

Develop labor standards and production capacity planning.

Develop mechanical designs using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent).

Drive Lean Manufacturing Initiatives Including

• 5S
• Kaizen
• Value Stream Mapping
• SMED

• Waste Reduction
• Visual Management

Support inventory reduction and continuous flow manufacturing.

Education & Experience

• B.Sc. Electronics Engineering (Physics, Electrical and related can apply).
• At least 3 years of experience in Semiconductor or Electronics / Optoelectronics and Fiber optics Industry.
