Job summary

NCR Voyix is seeking a Manual Tester in Cebu City to design and execute test cases, report issues, and collaborate with developers for bug fixes. The role requires strong communication, test planning, and familiarity with various testing types across Windows and Linux environments.

The candidate will create test plans, work with Jira for issue tracking, and may lead test case initiatives. Automation tooling and troubleshooting knowledge are beneficial for the team’s QA efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience designing test cases and executing tests for software usability.
• Familiarity with integration, regression, ad-hoc, Guerilla, certification and compatibility testing.
• Able to verify issues across Windows and Linux.
• Experience creating test plans from product requirements.
• Experience using issue trackers to log and track defects.
• Able to lead test cases when assigned to a project lead role.
• Creates test strategies to improve test implementation.
• Provides software and hardware troubleshooting and maintains troubleshooting guides.

• Performs Integration, Regression, AdHoc, Guerilla, Certification and Compatibility Testing.
• Creates test plan based on product or software requirements.
• Creates issue or bug tracker for every project release using Jira.
• Verifies issue when developers provide a fix.
• Be able to verify issue in Windows and Linux.
• Be able to verify issue in all available utilities, firmware, device, and previous build releases.
• Provides support to developers when replicating or investigating an issue or bug.
• Spearhead test cases among members when assigned to project lead role.
• Creates automation tools for applicable cases.
• Provides test strategies to improve test implementation.
• Can provide software and hardware troubleshooting; maintains troubleshooting guides.

Manual Tester is responsible in test case design and test execution for software usability. Tester will perform the tests, analyze the output & report issues or bugs to the development team. Tester interacts with the counterpart to understand the product requirement and for better test case design. Testers are results driven, has good communication skills for report preparation, and up-to-date knowledge of the product /design or software programs.
