Job summary

NCR Voyix Corporation is seeking a Manual Tester to design and execute test cases for software usability. The tester will perform tests, analyze outputs and report issues to the development team, collaborating to understand product requirements for effective test design.

Candidates should be results driven with strong communication skills and up-to-date knowledge of the product, design, or software programs. Employment is conditional upon screening criteria applicable to the job.

Qualifications

• Experience with integration, regression and compatibility testing.
• Proficient in test case design from product requirements.
• Familiar with Jira for issue tracking and releases.
• Strong communication skills for reporting findings.
• Knowledge of software and hardware troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform integration, regression, AdHoc, Guerrilla, certification and compatibility testing.
• Create test plans based on product or software requirements.
• Create issue or bug trackers for every project release using Jira.
• Verify issues when developers provide fixes.
• Lead test cases among team members when assigned project lead role.
• Create automation tools for applicable tests and provide strategies for test implementation.
• Provide troubleshooting guides and support to developers.

Manual Tester is responsible in test case design and test execution for software usability. Tester will perform the tests, analyze the output & report issues or bugs to the development team. Tester interacts with the counterpart to understand the product requirement and for better test case design. Testers are results driven, has good communication skills for report preparation, and up-to-date knowledge of the product /design or software programs.

• Performs Integration, Regression, AdHoc, Guerilla, Certification and Compatibility Testing
• Creates test plan based on product or software requirements
• Creates issue or bug tracker for every project release using Jira.
• Verifies issue when developers provide a fix
• Be able to verify issue in any available OS platforms (Windows and Linux)
• Be able to verify issue in all available utilities, firmware, device, and previous build releases
• Provides support to developers when replicating or investigating an issue or bug
• Spearhead test cases among members when assigned to project lead role
• Creates automation tools for applicable casesProvides test strategies to improve test implementation
• Can provide software and hardware troubleshootingMaintains and creates troubleshooting guides
