Job summary

Aerotek in Aurora, OH is seeking a Manual Machinist / CNC Setup Machinist for a first-shift, Mon-Thu schedule (6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).

The role blends manual milling with CNC setup and production support, requiring the ability to read blueprints, run prototypes, and produce parts to tight tolerances. You will work with Bridgeport-type mills and Haas equipment, switch between manual and CNC tasks as needed, and contribute to a safe, organized shop floor.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manual machining experience beyond simple loading.
• Experience setting up and operating Bridgeport-type mills.
• Ability to read blueprints and make parts from drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools like micrometers.
• Willingness to work both manual and CNC as production requires.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Bridgeport-type milling machines and radial-arm drills to spec.
• Read blueprints and drawings to independently manufacture parts within tolerances.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, gauges and other measuring tools for accuracy.
• Support CNC production by loading fixtures and setting offsets.
• Run proven CNC jobs using established programs and setup sheets.
• Shift between manual machining and CNC work as production requires.
