Job summary

Finastra Philippines Inc in Manila, Philippines seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software products. Reporting to the Squad Lead, you will work on Java/Spring-based solutions, RESTful APIs, and GenAI-infused delivery, aligning with the upcoming transition of Finastra's Universal Banking business.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, participate in design meetings, and ensure timely issue resolution while following the software development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of software development experience including design and development.
• Experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JavaScript; messaging with IBM MQ/ActiveMQ preferred.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTML, CSS, SQL, Oracle DB, DB2 and PostgreSQL preferred.
• Financial industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency with GenAI and GitHub Copilot.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and lifecycle.
• Ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity independently.
• Strong technical, analytical, and development skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of required programming languages.
• Effective verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Designs and develops high-quality code.
• Tests, debugs, analyzes and fixes application problems, and coordinates with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Follows the software development lifecycle process.
• Interacts with internal stakeholders to support product releases and resolve problems.
• Embed GenAI into project delivery to drive productivity and data-driven decisions while applying human judgment.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
