Job summary

Qualifications

• Native Mandarin speakers or equivalent fluency.
• Strong Mandarin speaking and writing abilities.
• Degree in Chinese language, education, linguistics, or related field preferred.
• Teaching qualification or experience is a plus.
• Experience teaching children or school-aged students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered Mandarin Chinese lessons.
• Provide on-site, face-to-face instruction to students.
• Adapt teaching strategies to different ages and learning levels.
• Develop lesson plans, activities, and learning materials.
• Assess and monitor progress; give constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Incorporate Chinese culture and real-life language use into lessons.
• Maintain classroom management and student engagement.
• Communicate with school staff about student progress.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and events as required.
• Maintain records of attendance and progress.
