Job summary

Lavie Group is seeking a Manager, Tax to lead taxation activities, including filing and payments, compliance review, and advisory support for business units in the Philippines.

The role requires strong knowledge of local and national tax laws, CPA certification, and at least five years in tax with managerial experience. You will optimize processes and ensure accuracy across tax functions. Excellent command of MS Office is expected to support governance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have CPA and BS Accountancy.
• At least 5 years in tax, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience in tax compliance review, tax assessments and advisory services.
• Strong understanding of local and national tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely and accurate filing of tax returns and payments.

Job Brief

The Manager, Tax is responsible for managing various taxation-related activities for Lavie Group, including filing and payment of national and local taxes, internal tax compliance review, tax assessment before the tax authorities and tax advisory services.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely and accurately filed tax returns and payments.
• Ensures that local business taxes and real property taxes paid are reasonable and in accordance with existing tax laws.
• Ensures companies compliance with existing tax laws, rules and regulation
• Responsible for disputed/resolved tax assessments.
• Provide tax advisory services and support to business units.
• Initiate project/s to simplify or optimize a process, reduce errors and/or improve tax compliance.

Job Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
• LLB /JD or Lawyer is an advantage.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in any of the big 4 accounting firms, or other firms offering tax services.
• Must have at least five (5) years of experience in tax practice.
• Must have at least two (2) years of experience in a managerial level.
• Must have relevant experience in handling tax compliance review, tax assessments and/or tax advisory services.
• Strong understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs.
