  • Set up and provide secretariat support for university committees and/or workgroups to prepare submissions.
  • Develop, plan, distribute, and track quality enhancement projects after reviews.
  • Develop, plan, budget, and organise on-site validation exercises by External Review Panels.
  • Support development and incubation of new areas of work under various Offices of the Planning and Development Division.

Job description

Purpose
  • The Manager, Planning and Development, supports various Offices under the Planning and Development Division in developing and incubating new areas of work for the university. He/She will be required to develop plans, budgets, and systems and processes for initial implementation. He/She will also be supporting the university in responding to the performance and quality reviews required by the funding ministry
  • The Manager, Planning and Development, reports to the Director, but works closely with the leaders of the various Offices under the Division.
Key Roles & Responsibilities

The Manager, Planning and Development, will have the following roles and responsibilities:-

  • For annual performance and quinquennial quality reviews:
  • Set up and provide secretariat support for university committees and/or workgroups to prepare for submissions
  • Develop, plan, distribute, and track the quality enhancement projects after the reviews
  • Develop, plan, budget, and organise on-site validation exercises by External Review Panels
  • Support the development and incubation of new areas of work under various Offices of the Planning and Development Division including but not limited to:
    • Enterprise Risk Management
    • Regional and International Engagement
    • Research Administration
    • Continuing Education and Training Administration
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • This is an individual contributor role and a contract position.
