Job summary

SGS is seeking a qualified auditor to conduct the full audit cycle, including desk studies and on-site audits, across automotive/auto parts sectors. The role involves preparing checklists, audit packages, and client communications, with opportunities to train and coach auditors under supervision.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in engineering, 4 years of relevant experience including 2 years in QA, and preferably IRCA/JRCA Lead Auditor certification, in a company that upholds strict

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant fields.
  • Four (4) years full-time relevant practical experience in automotive/auto parts with two (2) years dedicated to quality assurance in the past 10 years in an organization meeting IATF 16949 applicability.
  • IRCA/JRCA Certified Lead Auditor Course is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts and completes the whole audit cycle, either as a team member or team leader in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Desks study of the client’s management system; prepares checklist and itinerary as guide during audit.
  • Conducts audit on site according to procedures; completes audit package and updates client files.
  • Communicates with or attends to client inquiries related to the system standard audited.
  • Reviews and customizes training materials and conducts training on specific programs as determined by the Division.
  • Provides coaching and performance feedback for auditors under training or supervision.
  • Completes audit reports and updates client files; operates to the highest ethics per SGS Code of Integrity.
  • Responds to emergencies and ensures readiness to respond within workplace.

Job Description


  • Conducts and completes the whole audit cycle, either as a team member or team leader in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.




    1. Conducts desk study of the client’s management system.


    2. Prepares checklist and itinerary as guide during audit.


    3. Conducts audit on site according to procedures.


    4. Prepares and completes audit package.


    5. Communicates with or attends to client inquiries related to the system standard where they had been qualified to audit.




  • Reviews and customizes training materials, when needed, and conducts training on specific programs as determined by the Division.


  • Provides coaching and performance feedback for auditors under training or supervision.


  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goal or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.


  • Completes audit reports and updates client’s files i.e. kick sheet, etc.


  • Operating to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity.


  • Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to:


  • Demonstrates strong commitment to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures and work instructions by actively participating inmeetings, projects and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE


  • Responds appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace



Qualifications


  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or other relevant fields.

  • Four(4) years full time appropriate practical experience in an automotive/auto partswith two (2)years dedicated to Quality assurance activities in the past 10 years in an organization meeting applicability of IATF 16949.

  • Have attended an IRCA/JRCA Certified Lead Auditor Course an advantage
