Job summary

Merck Group in Manila is seeking a Management Accounting Specialist to support the continuous improvement project portfolio and lead key initiatives across the Manila Hub. You will collaborate with Global Process Owner, IT, and commercial teams to deliver priority projects and establish a center of excellence for Management Accounting.

• Support the continuous improvement project portfolio and drive project management of selected initiatives across Manila Hub Management Accounting ensuring delivery of priorities
• Spearhead the establishment of the center of excellence for Management Accounting in collaboration with Executive Management, Global Process Owner, Project Management, Commercial Organization and IT
• Define content, manage critical meetings, enable collection and evaluation of information, and prepare decks for management presentations
• Lead ERP Testing or ERP Project Rollout (UAT, regression testing, access implementation) with local ERP users
• Drive improvement initiatives globally and pilot Management Accounting process improvements and quick wins

Your Role:

• In your role you will directly work with Finance Managers and Team Leads by supporting the continuous improvement project portfolio and drive project management of selected initiatives across Manila Hub Management Accounting ensuring that we deliver our priorities by Hands-on project work.
• You will spearhead the establishment of the center of excellence for Management Accounting in close collaboration with members of the Organization and diverse stakeholders such as Executive Management, Global Process Owner, Project Management, Commercial Organization and IT.
• Additionally, this role will have direct responsibility along the overarching Management Accounting priorities, defining content, managing critical meetings, enabling the collection and evaluation of external and internal information, and preparing decks for management presentations.
• Further expectation is to be innovative, curious and bring in new ideas that’ll help taking the organization to the next level.
• Continue to perform 15-20% of process operation and 75-80% of Management Accounting Project.

Initiatives including the following:

• First Point of contact of Global Process Owner, Project Management & Global Key Users
• Represent Management Accounting for Fit gap Workshops, Transformation and ERP rollout
• Lead ERP Testing or ERP Project Rollout (User Acceptance Test & Regression Testing & Access implementation). Works closely with ERP local key users.
• Provide guidance, support, and in-depth knowledge to help solve complex problems in Management Accounting by driving problem solving and resolutions implementation.
• Lead the synergy across Management Accounting teams in Manila Hub
• Represents Manila Hub Management Accounting team with other Management Accounting teams globally.
• Pilot Management Accounting process improvements and quick wins.
• Support Global footprint initiatives for Manila Hub Management Accounting
• Support KPIs for R2R General Accounting Operations for Management Accounting.
• Support Global Process Owner in defining End to end process structure and architect

Who You Are:

• At least Management Accounting Specialist role for more than 2 years
• Must meet performance standards in his/her current role
• Knowledgeable in ERP systems across Management Accounting– high level understanding of end-to-end Management Accounting process
• Proactive and can work independently, structured, organize and collaborative.
• Lead and strong contribution in improvement initiatives globally
• Involved in problem solving sessions
• Preferably with Lean & Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
