Job summary

VBP in Cebu City is seeking a Management Accountant to strengthen its financial planning and reporting. You will prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, and provide insightful analysis to drive profitability.

You will assist in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts, perform variance analysis with department managers, deliver KPI trends to senior management, support month-end close, collaborate with auditors, and contribute to financial

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA/CMA certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in management accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial information and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving profitability and efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual results, working closely with departmental managers to address issues and opportunities.
• Provide reports on KPIs and financial performance trends to senior management, highlighting areas of concern and recommending solutions.
• Prepare reports per cost centres / revenue centres as may be required by the Management.
• Support month-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Participate in financial modeling and projections to support strategic planning initiatives and business development activities.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for stakeholders and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
• Keep updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in management accounting.

Overview of the role:
The Management Accountant will play a crucial role in the financial position of the VBP by providing financial analysis, reporting, and strategic support.
