Job summary

Southworth International Group in Manila is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and provide general building maintenance. The role ensures the smooth operation of production lines, including welding repairs, forklift maintenance, and preventative maintenance.

You will collaborate with engineers to resolve equipment issues, help establish new procedures and work instructions, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience performing preventative maintenance, control wiring, PLC, mechanical maintenance aptitude preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven communication skills.
• Experience functioning as a team member, learning throughout the organization and supporting needs of all buildings.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, grasp with fingers; stand for extended periods of time; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic integrated systems using schematics and test equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to address equipment failures.
• Maintain welders and surrounding work area, free of debris.
• Utilize data acquisition systems, measurement and test instrumentation including PC systems, PLC, etc. in troubleshooting, repair and calibration.
• Ensure safety maintenance with hot wires, ground cables, and feeders.
• Check the air quality of ventilation systems and adjust to comply with safety codes.
