Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in facility, industrial, or residential property maintenance.
• Proficient understanding of basic electricity, plumbing, and general carpentry/handyman work.
• Ability to read, interpret, and trace errors using technical manuals, mechanical blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Mastery of common hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and precision measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and scheduled servicing of buildings, mechanical equipment, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Diagnose faults and execute timely mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or structural repairs
• Respond promptly to emergency and routine maintenance requests; document all completed tasks, parts used, and diagnostic findings within the CMMS
• Adhere strictly to OSHA, local building codes, and company safety policies—including the strict enforcement of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Track maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts; notify management when inventory levels are low to ensure quick turnaround on critical fixes
• Assist and oversee third-party vendors or specialized contractors when on-site for major installations or certified structural work

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the facility's physical structures, mechanical systems, and utility equipment. This role blends scheduled preventative maintenance with rapid-response troubleshooting to minimize operational downtime, address safety hazards, and maximize the lifespan of company assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and scheduled servicing of buildings, mechanical equipment, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical systems

• Diagnose faults and execute timely mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or structural repairs

• Respond promptly to emergency and routine maintenance requests; document all completed tasks, parts used, and diagnostic findings within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

• Adhere strictly to OSHA, local building codes, and company safety policies—including the strict enforcement of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

• Track maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts; notify management when inventory levels are low to ensure quick turnaround on critical fixes

• Assist and oversee third-party vendors or specialized contractors when on-site for major installations or certified structural work

About you

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; completion of a technical trade school or apprenticeship program is highly preferred

• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in facility, industrial, or residential property maintenance

• Proficient understanding of basic electricity (replacing switches, breakers, ballast adjustments), plumbing (clearing lines, replacing valves), and general carpentry/handyman work

• Ability to read, interpret, and trace errors using technical manuals, mechanical blueprints, and electrical schematics

• Mastery of common hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and precision measurement equipment

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50–75 lbs regularly

• Stamina to stand, kneel, crawl, bend, crouch, and work in tight or uncomfortable spaces for prolonged periods

• Comfort working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or scissor lifts

• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and participate in a rotating on-call emergency schedule (weekends/evenings)
