Job summary

The Magnum Ice Cream Company is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician to optimize equipment maintenance in the factory. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to the maintenance strategy to improve machine reliability and safety.

We value electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation expertise, with PLC/SCADA proficiency, strong analytical skills, and coaching capability to support a high-performance team in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering or instrumentation background with factory maintenance exposure.
• Licensed EE or certified plant mechanic preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing and cross-disciplinary maintenance teams.
• Strong coaching and communication skills.
• Analytical approach and solid technical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment faults.
• Diagnose design improvements and contribute to maintenance strategy.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC and SCADA networks and control loops.
• Manage electrical drives, motors, and distribution systems.
• Document maintenance standards and daily reports; monitor spares.

The Role

The Multi-skilled Technician (MST) is a Preventive Maintenance and Focused Improvement specialist engaged to optimize the running and maintenance of equipment within the factory. Where breakdowns occur, the MST acts to diagnose and troubleshoot faults and recommends design improvements. The role is actively involved with setting the Maintenance Strategy and continuously improve the machine reliability in the area assigned.

What you'll be responsible for

• Mechanical Skills and Focused Technician. Uses knowledge and application of technical skill and expertise to ensure the provision of effective engineering support within team, focused on delivering performance targets. Directly contributes to improved safety, quality, sustainability, and cost.
• Preventive Maintenance Specialist and user of different types of maintenance strategies (Time Based, Condition Based Maintenance)
• Fully Operational on Mechanisms, Motion. Capable to Properly Maintain and troubleshoot the equipment assigned
• Electrical Skills and Diagnostic Technician. Removes and replaces major electrical components (such as motors, switch/control gear) and troubleshoot electrical circuits safely. Able to isolate machinery and re-install electrical supplies for machinery components.
• Establishes power distribution systems and electrical control circuits.
• Installs electrical drive systems and Control Loops.
• Application of Instrumentation and Control skills.
• Understands the refrigeration system which includes system balancing and load management
• Demonstrates an understanding of the Internal Architecture of Programme Logic Control (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS); their applications and knowledge of the Number Systems they use.
• Amends control and software documentation.
• Manages PLC and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Networks (eg Programme modifications, Force Devices and fault finding).
• Adherence to Process Safety Management Program and Ammonia Refrigeration Works
• Conducts PM Activities based on the maintenance calendar
• Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure required parts for the maintenance works
• Documents Maintenance Standards of the equipment and submits required daily reports

We're looking for someone who

• Graduate of Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation
• Preferably Licensed EE or Certified Plant Mechanic
• Completed formal education in at least 2 of 3 relevant engineering disciplines:Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation and Control
• At least 3 years relevant work experience as part of an extended team within the manufacturing sector
• Strong coaching and communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical approach and technical skills
