Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Bacolod is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the preventive maintenance and repair of heavy equipment. You will oversee all maintenance activities, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Candidates should have a degree in engineering, preferably be a licensed engineer, and possess at least 2 years of relevant experience. This role requires the ability to work in challenging environments and supervise maintenance operations effectively.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of overall related experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Knowledgeable in preventive maintenance of heavy equipment and machinery.
• Ability to work in a dusty and hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.

Lead the mechanical & electrical preventive maintenance and repair of heavy equipment/machineries

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, monitor, facilitates and supervise the implementation of the Preventive Maintenance activities of all heavy machineries/equipment
• Lead the repair works of defective machines, equipment and facilities that can affect the operations
• Make and review purchasing requests for all maintenance work and seek approval of the Maintenance Manager
• Review and evaluate all maintenance contract services rendered in terms of the set standard and quality
• Validate all material/item requests related to maintenance works from material sections for Maintenance Managers approval
• Supervise the operation of assigned equipment or machines in supporting the operations
• Implement safety, health and environment programs. Also, recommend measures for safety or personnel maintaining and operating the machines
• Perform tasks that may be assigned from time to time related to technical duties

Qualifications

• A graduate of any Engineering or related courses.
• Licensed/Registered Engineer (Mechanical or Engineer) is preference
• Minimum of 2 years overall related experience
• Knowledge in Preventive Maintenance of heavy equipment and machineries
• Willing to work in a dusty and hot environment
