Job summary

Kudelski Security is seeking a Security Analyst Level 1 to join our 24/7 MDR in Madrid. You will monitor, triage, and validate security alerts for a multi-client SOC, escalating confirmed threats with precise documentation.

You will work with AI-assisted workflows, adhere to SOPs, and report to the SOC Manager within a 15–20 person L1 team. Fluent English and Spanish are required; rotation shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in cybersecurity/IT operations or related field.
• Initial to intermediate exposure to SIEM/EDR/XDR for log analysis.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, security architecture, MITRE ATT&CK.
• Familiarity with NIST/SANS incident response methodologies; networking/OS basics.
• OT awareness; strong written and verbal communication.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Nice to have: CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, or BTL1.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage security alerts to determine if investigation or action is needed.
• Perform first-level incident analysis, validation, and classification per SOPs/playbooks.
• Escalate confirmed or complex incidents with complete documentation.
• Respond to alerts within SLAs and document investigation steps.
• Adhere to policies and protect data; participate in shift handovers.
• Support customer satisfaction with clear findings and routing to appropriate teams.
• Maintain accurate priority, categorization, and documentation.
